Mine didn't have any seats. Just an open hull with a big raised back deck and a big raised front deck. I doubt they have a website. They haven't been making boats for quite a while have they?

I don't think so. You could always buy the spider seat bases from Metal Logic in Mountain Home.

I guess I missed that part about AFF being out of business. Or maybe wishful thinking. My boat has 14 years of hard use and plenty of battle scars. I'm caught between an upgrade to a new tricked out river boat and just patching and painting the Shawnee.

John told me that Dean's Tops and Canvas made the seats for the AFF boats. Ask for Dan at 870-425-6159. He also made the custom boat covers. GreasyB whether you know it or not the core of your hull is 3/4" composite. It will last a long time even if you ding it up a bit. John was obtaining composite for his core material long before other boat builders. Unfortunately, the core material in the upper decking is plywood and is susceptible to rot is the fiberglas is breached. The transom is composite core also. So, you have a keeper unless you just want to throw some cash at something with more sex appeal. John and I have some common experience in aircraft flown in the military and missions we were involved in. We're both Vietnam Vets. I'm going to continue my discussions with him about his boat building (over 800 built) in the mnear future.

Bought a new AFF 20' footer years ago. Had a Yamaha 25hp 4 stroke on it. Made one of the storage bins a live well. Sold it as I began pursuing some fish on bigger lakes & wanted a v-bottom. Like to still have it if I didn't have to give up current boat.

Thanks Ham! I visited Kevin on the way to the river on Friday and talked to him for a while. Super nice guy with a cool operation. I picked up two of the spider seat bases from him for $50 each I think.

Boat ran great this weekend. We fished the Norfork on no water on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning - just put in and eased downstream to McClellan's. Fished the White on Saturday afternoon/night and Sunday morning. It was a great fishing weekend.

I bought a new AFF in 04. It is a 21/54 I think, it has no console and a 90/65 Mercury. I got to design this one. I use it about 30 weekends a year and love it! I bought my 2nd one last weekend. It is a 98 21/54 with a 90/65 Yamaha and a center console. The fuel tank/ lines have been my only problem with both boats. John built good boats I think.
