Bill Babler Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Yes, he is running a brand new Z7 white and black. Really sharp outfit. We pretty much last night had the deal to ourselves. I had orders from the boss to bring home 1/2 dozen male whites if I could get them for a serious crisco bath, but Buster kept guiding me into giant sows. It was really fun, we laughed and visited the entire time and it went by so fast. His report shorted us on the bass, we had 6 all LM and 1 short walleye. Buster had 3 really nice LM on the stickbait and I had 3 on the Rig. Best bite as he said was on the stickbait. Had one Sow White that nearly jerked my arm out of socket on the A-Rig. We threw back sow after sow, looking for males to eat. Every once in a while we would toss one of the smaller ones in the box and ended up with 8 hoping them to be males. half and half. Gona put them to the fish fry test for supper this rainey day. Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 2, 2013 Author Root Admin Posted April 2, 2013 You fishing the willow bank?
vonreed Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 You fishing the willow bank? I was at the willow bank last night. I pulled up a little before dark and everybody wash leaving. I talked to a couple guys down there who had the biggest stringers of white bass I've ever saw. Huge whites.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 2, 2013 Author Root Admin Posted April 2, 2013 vonreed - did you do any good?
Dutch Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Thanks Bill. I thought it probably was you guys that I passed near Barker's hole when it was raining. When we left a guy was setting on the ramp with a wheel off his trailer. He said it came off when he was launching the boat. Was he gone when you guys left?
Members jskutt04 Posted April 2, 2013 Members Posted April 2, 2013 If you don't mind me asking where are the willow banks.
vonreed Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 vonreed - did you do any good? Sorry I forgot that part. I fished there for about 15mins and got jittery about catching NOTHING. So I moved up to the park and fished the first riffle area of Swan and then to the mouth of Swan and only caught 1 white bass and had a walleye get off. I was hoping they had moved up there, but they weren't.
vonreed Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 If you don't mind me asking where are the willow banks. From my understanding and what I consider the Willow Banks is the stretch of sandy bank downstream of the 76 bridge. Maybe 1/2 mile from the bridge. Coming from Forsyth there is a gravel drive on the right side of the road and it takes you down the the lake. It's about half way from the bridge to the corner at Barker Hole. Directly across from the bluff.
