It's on at Tecumseh. I caught 52 fish today. It was a really great experience.

Figuring out where the White Bass were positioned and figuring out what baits to use for the different areas. I caught two limits, but I released them all.

Water temp up Bryant was 54'. Upper 40's at the bridge.

Good Luck!

The water was Beautiful. First time for me to catch White Bass in water that clear. I saw the White Bass roar in and eat my bait many times. Sweet !

Tried it last night, took a kayak down and paddled around until I found them, once I did it was an every cast type deal, but if I missed the spot by 20 feet, no dice. Quite a few people fishing, but saw very few catching I think the stealth of the kayak helps in the clear water even if you do draw some strange looks. Thanks Ham for the report.

It was VERY slow for me for a long time, but once I got on the right bait and found the right spots it got better and seemed to get even better LATE in the day. Maybe they would have bitten anything better late in the day. I still have a WHOLE lot to learn about catching White Bass in the Ozarks.

Glad you caught em.

Justin do you put in at Tecumseh or Cook?

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Tecumseh, but may put in at Cooks tomorrow just for the fun of it, don't think they are really up there though. I only had a little while to fish think I made my first cast around 4:30 and quit by 5:45 or so. I trolled around a little with no luck and then saw a likely looking spot, once I caught that first fish I never moved until I had to go and the catching was non-stop. From what I've heard fish are grouped up here and there from the bridge well downstream toward the main lake.

They are spawning on shallow rocky areas (shoals), but seem to be biting better in a little deeper areas. I DID NOT have it quite as easy as Justin. I drifted along with the current and wind fighting for control of my boat. I had "better" areas, but not ONE spot.

I feel like the best spots change from day to day. You KNOW they are there. You can find where they are that day without too much trouble.

Thanks guys. I'm not familiar with the stretch from Tecumseh to Cook. I've paddled upstream, but never down from Cook or Dawt.
