Why should WE (you know the people they work for) give them any props for not doing their job and then saying "oh we will take a paycut until we pass some sort of ficticious budget" Come on man you seriously do not think for one second this is really good will on their part at all do you! I fire people for not doing the job they were hired for! I dont give them pay cuts and they sure dont ever ask for a pay-cut to keep their job.

There is the difference between Politicians and Real life. In real life people lose their job!

The reason I will give props is that only a very few out of hundreds seem willing to do anything, if they all agreed to do it together then no individuals would deserve any credit more than any other.

I think I am taking the wrong approach however, instead of giving props for those taking pay cuts instead I think that those who refuse to should be ashamed of themselves for not doing their jobs and then taking full pay for it.

Justin this isn’t meant as a attack on you by any means or your opinion as I do respect it.

But do these disserve props for taking a pay cut because they could not pass a budget? Do they disserve props for creating the largest tax in recent history? Do they disserve props for constantly wanting to increase taxes to pay for a budget they cannot even come up with? Do they disserve props when they continue to fund entitlement programs? Do they disserve props for forcing ethanol on us which is destroying the lands? I can go on and on and on all night. They will disserve props ONLY when they start doing the job they are being paid to do and ONLY THEN!

How about cutting out all of their breaks and vacations till they solve the country's problem and pass a budget?

That would be a real show of faith and leadership. All the rest is just political show.

Don't worry I don't take any of it personally, and hope no one else does either as I learn more from those who disagree with me. I am in agreement with everyone who is angry with the inability of our leaders to compromise, and I guess I'm praising the way those that have taken pay cuts are calling out those that haven't. I've always been a fan of the phrase "put your money where your mouth is" and congress has been willing to take money from everybody else without hurting themselves and I'm glad to see a few willing to share in the across the board cuts they passed, but are conveniently immune to.

Oh come on, They are not really giving up anything but additional luxery income. Most of them are so heavily funded by special interest and other incomes what they are paid for being a politicians is nothing. How about we do what Private sector does to people who cannot perform. TERMINATE all of them and hire on new employees because that is what they really are! We tried that and a whole bunch of Tea Partiers were voted in and did nothing but slow down the already snail pace.

I have really got to the point with all of them that I beleive they should all be fired new ones in place an a constitutional amendment added that no more than 2 terms period and that their pay should be no more than that of the average income for the area the represent and NO other income allowed during the years of service AKA NO MOONLIGHTING! I'll go along with this.

I agree that we should get rid of them, but if you can't give them any props for willingly giving up money (especially when we want to fire them), then you really have lost all faith, I'm sure not giving up 5% of my money to help the deficit. If they would give up 5% of not only thier income but each and all of thier staff members income it would be more of a help.

Why should WE (you know the people they work for) give them any props for not doing their job and then saying "oh we will take a paycut until we pass some sort of ficticious budget" Come on man you seriously do not think for one second this is really good will on their part at all do you! There is the difference between Politicians and Real life. In real life people lose their job! Why should there be a difference?????????? If you don't like the one you have you should vote them out. The problem is PARTY LINE. Try to change that.

The reason I will give props is that only a very few out of hundreds seem willing to do anything, if they all agreed to do it together then no individuals would deserve any credit more than any other.

But do these disserve props for taking a pay cut because they could not pass a budget? Do they disserve props for creating the largest tax in recent history? Compared to who??? Do you realize we aren't even close to what the taxes were under the Clinton administration? Do they disserve props for constantly wanting to increase taxes to pay for a budget they cannot even come up with? Do they disserve props when they continue to fund entitlement programs? Like Social Security? It is paid for by us. They keep trying to steal from us. Do they disserve props for forcing ethanol on us which is destroying the lands? Ethanol is a great example of what lobbiests can get through congress if the money is right. :have-a-nice-day: I can go on and on and on all night. They will diserve props ONLY when they start doing the job they are being paid to do and ONLY THEN. They aren't capable of that.!!!!!

Buzz, the problem with the Tea Party is the same problem with all of them, ABSOLUTE POWER IS ABSOLUTE CORRUPTION!!!

They went to change things but then sided in with the republican party instead of staying true to the reasons they were voted in. I called that shot from day one and was not surprised it happened heck I expected it to happen. This is why term limits must be in place and why I am a big proponent of all National Bills that would increase Taxes of the Constitutional rights should be VOTED on by the people of each state and taken out of the hands of the politicians.

Federal Government's Job is actually very limited but because of the Power they have created for themselves has expanded and unless its challenged in court nothing changes. Remember Obamacare? Even he said its not a tax, until it went to the SCOTUS and then it was a tax so they could make sure it was upheld!

How about the current Buzz topic of Gun-control. Even a 5th grader when explained what the word INFRINGED means understand gun control is a violation of the constitution yet here we have politicians running it through, Colorado is the perfect example of this. ALL and I mean ALL polls and even LEO's of the State were against it but the controlling party did it anyway.

Our Founders would certainly would be turning in their graves. We the People need to regain control of our government. Our Government has become a Monarchy with one small exception and that is the POTUS does have a term limit which now there is a movement to remove.

No you can stop right here for now. Where in world did you come of with this? Not opinion, facts.
