Seth Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Good to hear that! I fried up some of that spoony I landed the other day and boy was it good! Them lower Osage fish make up in taste what they lack in size compared to the Tablerock fish.
Hog Wally Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 All males. Our biggest was 35" smallest was 28" what a nice spot though. What's your thoughts on the dam. We went up there but it was kinda violent.
Seth Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 I like fishing up there when the water is flow is medium to light. When it's ripping like this I don't have enough trolling motor to stay up there anyways. I've seen a few paddlefish caught on the left side of the darn before but all I've ever done is lose hooks and lead. I've caught some decent hybrids and kentuckies along the wall near the chute side but it was during light generation. I've never caught anything up there when it was ripping along like it has been.
Hog Wally Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Any new reports? Got some rain coming this week and I'm in construction so I thinking on headed back there. Seth you or anyone have any news ?
Seth Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 We went Saturday and couldn't find any fish. The Missouri came up almost 12 foot and backwatered the Osage. I've never had any luck when it has been like that. I marked a lot of fish between the powerlines near the bottom that I thought for sure were spoonbill but we could never hit anything to find out.
