Hey all, I have been looking for a "CPR" tournament to try and join. I'd love to have one that wouldn't take me to far from town, so that I could fish the mornings before work. I'd like to do one that's for Kayaker's and canoer's only. Anyone have any good ideas? I found the idea when looking for kayak specific tournaments online, since I don't have a boat. I'm open to suggestions.

It'd be AWESOME if we could do a derby on Springfield or Fellows like this as well!!!

I wonder if the Marina owners/CU would go for it on Fellows? I wonder who could host. I mean, heck, it would be a blast even if there really wasn't any prizes awarded. Just something to get together to do!

ill only use the troller haha. The only prob i see is with keeping fish alive for a weigh in since kayaks and most jon boats dont have live wells. maybe a fish basket would work as long as we didnt have 5 big keepers in it. Im thinking everybody bring their fav. lure or a pack of plastics for the enrty and winner takes home some new baits

Is be down throw in a pack of plastics or favorite lure and I'm sure we all have scales we very easily just agree on a scale to weigh in with!

No, you just take a picture of the fish on a ruler after you catch it. CPR stands for catch, picture, release. That way we don't put any strain on the fish. You could post them on a blog or something like that.

Just a thought. It'd be really cool if the parks board did something like this. They sanction all other kinds of athletic events.
