Sac River Jim Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 i like to go above blunks to wat is called the taylor hole its just below the first bend and has a nice shoal on one side and bluff on the other they seem to stack up in there pretty good. its accessable by boat most the time and i usually just tie up on the lower end of the gravel bar and wade out far enough i can throw a grew roostertail or smoke grub into the current and count to five and slow retrieve it.
Josh Holt Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I have been going everynight, except last night and have been catching them every throw after dark on purple beetles on a 1/16on head fished slow bouncing it along. I havn't been keeping any cause im plumb sick of cleaning them monday night
Josh Holt Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 sorry monday night I caught them every throw for three hours after dark
Josh Holt Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 just anywhere on the bluff side just up from blunks but I have been going about 30min from dark and catching all on purple bettles with 1/16 but the bait has to be thrown right on the bank fished slow bounceing it down really slow with the current and they will thump it every throw. The same thing is working well on beaver and swan or by the pot hole
