Well worth it though. Last time was there I really liked that park and the museum, even if I didn't catch a fish.

Yep, but there often isn't anybody at the gate during the winter, which is the only time I go...I use it to access the river below the spring branch. I've always driven right in and have never been hit up for a parking fee.

There is no parking fee in the winter. Only when the park is "open" and fishing tags are required.
