Roland is not a prince, but a win at 72 would be great copy.

I honestly don't know why he's touring.

I was disappointed today. I figured the a-rig would not factor today but then I heard about snow flurries this morning and thought surely someone will catch a 20-25lb sack.

Evidently... only locals can catch a fish over 6lbs and a 25lb bag in this lake. :-). All that equipment and experience and 19 is in 1st place. I mean fishing this lake is tough but most were saying today would be the best day and the sun is going to hurt the bite. I don't believe that cause I've seen 20lb sacks on blue-bird skies with water at 38 degrees.

Not my sack by any means by the way. :-)

I second that,

He was very rude to my Dad last year, who is almost the same age as Roland.

If you see him at a seminar or fishing expo, he's very professional.

but, if its the boat ramp or gas station. Roland is a real $&^*

I've heard the same thing from several people. You can't treat people like that. Once you get a reputation like that and you start plugging your gear every 2mins on your fishing show more than you do fishing or teaching......well. You know. :-)

I'm curious in what will unfold over the next few days. Warming up and sunny. Early bite and then late afternoon bite. I heard they were fishing till 5 tomorow.

Yeah, when I was 7y/o I saw Roland and he wouldn't even sign my hat and was just rude in general. It's funny how you have pros that are fan favorites that look nice on tv and are butts in real life. Then you have guys like Iaconelli that a lot of people don't like and he is one of the nicest pros you'd ever want to meet. Can't judge a book by it's cover.

I too am anxious to see how the pros adjust to the change in conditions. Blaukat seemed to have the right attitude.

I've also heard a story from someone who was a back seater with Roland that he was not a pleasant guy, but I've never met Roland so can't say so myself.

I have had a couple run-ins with Roland and he is less that impressive. Bill Dance on the other hand is one heck of a good guy who reminds me of a kid in a candy store, But none beat Jose his show didn't do him justice but did give a glimpse of what he was, magnify his show 100% and you start understanding how much he loved people and the outdoors.

Are you talking about Jose Wejebe? I know I butchered that last name, but that guy has more than got his stuff together. Simply one of the best fisherman I believe I have ever seen, and for gosh sakes he looks like he is just having a blast.

Ive met Roland several times and he has been more than cordial. Might be a different deal however. Buddy of mine fished with him in that derby he won out of the jet boat and said he was a kick. No problems at all. Those guys know what they are getting into with all their fame and should act like gentlemen at all times. Not saying he has to sign everything thrust in his face, but he should be nice in saying no.

Good Luck
