My best friend is flying in from Phoenix and we're taking the boat out on Fellows Fri-Sun. I've never boated Fellows but I'm tired of driving to the Rock and Stockton over the last month lol. Hoping to do well. Anybody know the temps? I'm not looking for top secret homey holes but any lake info would be great.

I was up on Sunday. Super windy, but temps felt like possibly upper 50's. may be a good weekend to go out if the cold front passes quickly.

I was hoping for a bit warmer air temps but I'll take it. Not sure if its getting past jerkbait season and more of a mid range crank bait or square bill bite. Last week Stockton was wiggle wart heaven. We will see

What is the status on lake levels in Fellows, Last I was out there it was hard to fish as most of the structure was out of the lake, Minus the weed beds of course.

Was up middle of last week. Water levels are up inside brush on the bank. Water temp was 51-55 on the north arm all the way down to water inlet. South arm was much cooler, 45-48 degrees not counting the very back creek which was about 53 degrees. Fishing was tough but it was post front conditions. Yet to figure that lake out but have only fished there 4 times this year being the first.

I have had very special days at Fellows in the year's past, but as of the last 2 years the lake seems to be down, not only water level but fish numbers at least in my boat. Like I said, hard to find structure on the graph with the low lake levels. Most fish boated were throwing jigs or worms. few years ago I caught multiple walleyes on crankbiaits and sticks, but those are hard to come by as well. Any others agree?

Whole-heartedly. I used to catch a bunch of bass in the slot, along with occassionally getting on a good school of crappie or whites. And I could always be sure to catch a limit of good eating sized cats up there. But any more, I have just about given up on the lake. It seems that good days are further and further between, and it's getting less and less worth it to drive up and fish it. Outside of possibly getting together with my buddies and shooting the bull while catfishing at night, even though thats more for the laughs than the fishing.

I wonder if the MDC will do fish counts in the future. I realize that Fellow's is close to Springfield and gets a lot of pressure, however, Springfield lake doesn't seem to have had the decline that Fellows has seen. I would like this fishery to be managed a little better. I'll tell you I probably won't renew my permit this year. Just not worth it.
