Justin Spencer Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 From my experience those with big online sales have crappy customer service. I may be old fashioned but I like to try things on and check out the quality before I buy things. If it's a strange item I might purchase online, but try to check with local businesses first. Mitch f Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I will say one thing, these website creators are some of the biggest meatheads around. Trying to get the guy who created our website to change something was like pulling teeth. Wouldn't return our phone calls after 3 weeks, etc. When he finally called us back, he gave some excuse about his daughters volleyball tournament schedule, then failed to do anything for another two weeks and we finally gave up. Thinking he was just a bad egg, we tried another...same thing. Frustrating........ "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Wayne SW/MO Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I may be old fashioned but I like to try things on and check out the quality before I buy things. Can't debate that, but for some it's just too expensive. I can go to Branson and visit fly shops, but even before I know whether they have what I want, I have to drop close to $4, and that's just to look! So the bottom line for me is, it won't help anyone but the state coffers. I think it is simply another law designed to bring in more taxes while claiming to help someone. The thought that someone in STL or KC would pay shipping to save sales taxes doesn't compute. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Brian Sloss Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Retail shops charging a cover at the door? haha www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
Wayne SW/MO Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Retail shops charging a cover at the door? haha If you mean my remark about the cost of looking Brian, that was what it would cost me to drive to Branson and back. If I go and can' find what I need I still incur the cost. I do visit them, but generally only if I'm going to be close. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
