duckydoty Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Trout Unlimited and Crystal Creek Lodge in South Western Alaska are asking for our help in protecting the largest wild salmon runs in the world from the possibility of being destroyed by one of the largest proposed open pit mines ever, Pebble Mine. Trout Unlimited has drawn up a formatted letter addressing the situation to the EPA. Simply by sending this letter in the link that follows and sharing with a friend you will automatically be entered into a drawing for a 4 day fishing trip of a lifetime for two at Crystal Creek Lodge. (this just so happens to be the lodge where MonaChari and I spend our summers working) Please get involved. Help put a stop to Pebble Mine and come visit us in Alaska for a fishing trip of a lifetime! Buzz Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Done. Thanks for posting ducky. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

Buzz Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Thanks Buzz. Hope you win the trip!. Me too. I also hope the government does the right thing. It seems like this has been going on way too long. I can't remember how many of these I've sent to our reps. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

Gavin Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Letter sent again. It's absolutely stupid to put that mine there.

Al Agnew Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Did it, too. A friend works for a company that does environmental restoration work, and though he's dead set against the mine, he says that the company probably stands to make millions attempting to alleviate some of the problems the mine will cause if it goes in.
