aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Put in at noon. Caught 5 on jigs and a couple on a finesse worm way back behind the bridge by the nature center. Biggest one was 14. Saw a lot of big bass on beds but they were very skiddish
MSUFisherBear Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 NICE! Congrats on the good catch. Was the current still a little crazy? How was the water color in the main channel? There is certainly something in angling that tends to produce a serenity of the mind. ~Washington Irving
ozarkgunner Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Throw a weightless sinko to the bed fish. Angler At Law
Jack Jones Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I canoed up from the 65 bridge and worked the banks with finesse worms. I was out for about two hours this afternoon. Only caught a few dinks. Nothing over 10 inches. "Thanks to Mother Mercy, Thanks to Brother Wine, Another night is over and we're walking down the line" - David Mallett
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 It was only a little high. Not much current. It was only colored up in the back waters. Where I was fishing by the trails it was clear ad hardly any moss. No I didn't throw anything weightless at them. I prob should have. There was so much moss it is staring to get hard to throw anything without getting it covered in it.
