Members tse90 Posted May 6, 2013 Members Posted May 6, 2013 Well this is my first post. I've been reading all of your posts for about 2 months now and trying to take it all in without forgetting too much when out on the water. Thanks for all the great posts and information though. Anyways I launched out of Aunt's Creek today a little before noon. Fished through Little Aunt's for a bit with hardly any luck. Decided to try some points for a bit and that got me on some fish. Ended up with 14 fish with 3 keepers in 3 hours. Caught several on a pumpkin colored shakey head then decided to give the Ned rig a run for its money. It was unbelievably good and caught 11 of the fish with it. Used a pumpkin with red flake senko on a 3/16 oz jig. Biggest fish of the day was a 4 lb smallmouth. Got off the water just after 3 because I was afraid it might rain and the wind was starting to pick up and the bite died off after that. Water temp was 57. Boat was sitting in about 25 feet casting into about 10. Majority of fish came out of the 15-18 foot range. Hope this helps some of you because I know reading your posts definitely have helped me.

You hit the nail on the head with your assessment of the Ned Rig. Just wait till it is actually good, as in when the water gets above 60 and stays there. It is good before, silly after.
