Justin Spencer Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Had a chance to get out last week one evening to pursue a few hybrids and ending up having a nice evening. Check out my blog for the long version and a few pics. http://justinsfishingpage.blogspot.com/2013/05/if-that-aint-country.html "The problem with a politician’s quote on Facebook is you don’t know whether or not they really said it." –Abraham Lincoln Tales of an Ozark Campground Proprietor Dead Drift Fly Shop
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 R.I.P. Jerry. Sounds like a memory. Is this a spring thing there and are the hybrids naturals? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Justin Spencer Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 Yep they move up a little later than the whites to spawn, and no they are stocked. Wayne SW/MO Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I didn't know if they came up often or if it was a spring fling. I know they will run up to Truman as late as June, maybe later. I didn't realize they had stocked hybrids there? I wish they would put them in BS. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Gavin Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Good for you! You'll be tying with Jerry's feathers for years to come.
Buzz Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Nice. Sounds like a blast. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Justin Spencer Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Just enjoyed Little Jerry in some Mexican chicken casserole. He's the bird that keeps on giving.
