Quillback Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Half a game behind the Tigers and playing the Yankees this weekend.
Justin Spencer Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Hope the change in batting order spurs on the offense. "The problem with a politician’s quote on Facebook is you don’t know whether or not they really said it." –Abraham Lincoln Tales of an Ozark Campground Proprietor Dead Drift Fly Shop
Quillback Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 Yeah they showed some pop last night, hopefully it continues. Starting pitching has been decent also.
Quillback Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Pitching wasn't good last night, I really want them to beat the darn Yankees.
Jack Jones Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 The "darn Yankees"?? I agree. Even though I'm from that area, I will route for any team that plays against the Yankees (with the exception of any team from Texas). The Royals are looking decent though. Better than they have in recent years. That said though..................go BoSox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quillback Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Been a Sox fan for most of my like, used to live outside of Boston. So I naturally hate the Yankees. I remember the days of the Willie Wilson - George Brett Royals, Sox would come to KC and always have a tough time.
Quillback Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 And they get swept by the Stinkees, disappointing...
Smalliebigs Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I feel bad for Royal's fans as I love your stadium and it's always very easy to get prime seats but, I'm not sure if the Royals will ever win the pennant again. At least I don't feel like I do about cubs fans as I do the Royals.....I always hope for the best for you guys but, the Cubs well it has been just plain fun watching the lovable loosers and their annoying fans get killed every year........my whole life
Quillback Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 We are seeing some parity return to MLB, the Royals have some potentially good young players that haven't quite lived up to expectations, Hosmer and Moustakis are 2 I'm thinking of in that regard, but Hosmer has shown some signs of life this year, Moustakis is struggling. They've got a good young catcher and have him signed through 2019. Having followed the Bosox for my entire life, until they won a World Series in 2003, they caused a lot of misery among their fandom. 3 names come to mind that mentioned to any longtime Bosox fan will bring out the foul language - Bill Buckner, Bucky Dent, and Aaron Boone.
