gramps...There are several posts up here going back into last month. Other option is to search this forum for "Ned Rig", or "Midwest Finesse".

Ned has a blog at InFisherman

http://www.in-fisherman.com/core-experts/ned-kehde/blog/

There are also some videos up on my youtube channel, "521VX05". Links to those are in some of the earlier threads here.

Thanks for the link and info, went and ordered some of the jig heads so I can give Ned's Jig a try around here.

Jerry.....Sounds like a nice boat/motor combo. I am sure it will perform and ride good due to the length. I have enjoyed mine so far, and it has held up good. They are just easier to tow, the fuel economy is outstanding, and you don't have to worry so much about going up into the trees and bushes. Hope you enjoy it, and catch a lot of fish out of it.

dtrs.......Good info and visual with the pic of TR finesse baits. All of the other baits just look like fish catchers compared to the Ned Rig. I think it is due to the fact that most of us are creatures of habit when it comes to what baits we use. Just goes to show you that not all baits are about looks and appearance.

Yep. The little rig sort of looks like you rigged things wrong, especially when you throw the stubby end of the worm at them.

Have seen pics from Ned and others with the fatter cut end rigged as the tail and it still caught fish.

Didn't have all the correct parts but built one out of a Blakemore Roadrunner and 1/2 a WormZ, that's all Walmart had. Caught a 11"er on it on the 2nd or 3rd cast. I thought I was hung up and maybe I was but when I got it free this little bass was on the other end. This was fishing from the bank too.

We will be at TRL late June, in your opinion, will the preferred color change between now and then, or will PBJ still be the ticket? Very interested in trying this out when we get down there. Thanks.

PBJ, watermelon seed, green pumpkin, and watermelon red are go to colors. Look at the color called dirt as a blend of these.

Or EZ Money and California Craw. EZ is a green pumpkin/watermelon laminate, cali is a dark green (almost black) with red flake / watermelon red laminate.

Most days color is a completely secondary issue with this rig.
