Well duckydoty, I have never actually caught any from the river proper, but I have caught several browns that have moved into the spring branch, "zone 3", from the river. Only 3 over 10lb, but several in the 4 to 9 lb range. These big fish are too hard to locate in the river. Like the current, there are several undercut banks for them to hide. I could count on one hand the number of big browns that I have found in the river. They see you and they are gone.
