Troutnut69 Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Just got back from four days up in the Driftless area chasing small wild trout. I'd been wanting to make a Spring trip and finally got the chance to do it. Had some good weather and some equally good fishing on this trip. Not a lot of hatches surprisingly but I did get in on a streamer bite that was some of the best fishing I've ever had up there. Different season but the same old Driftless area I've grown to love...small creeks , wild fish and very few people. Full TR on the blog....Jeff http://highplainsflyfisher.blogspot.com/

ColdWaterFshr Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 No kidding. What a fantastic trip. Just you and the dog and the trout. Really enjoyed that report and great photography. And the pictures of your meals got me hungry.
Greasy B Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Excellent report, just the way fishing should be. Members jgentile Posted May 21, 2013 Members Posted May 21, 2013 Outstanding! Not much more I can say. I must get up to WI myself, but I am afraid I won't return.

Justin Spencer Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I may hire you to take me there someday Jeff. "The problem with a politician’s quote on Facebook is you don’t know whether or not they really said it." –Abraham Lincoln Tales of an Ozark Campground Proprietor Dead Drift Fly Shop
Al Agnew Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 There are also some pretty decent smallmouth streams in the driftless area...been wanting to try them for a long time.
