I've heard that from several sources.

Another good way to eat them that we've done is to pressure cook the fillets with seasoning salt and lemon pepper seasoning until all the bones are dissolved. After the bones are gone, mix with egg and crackers to make fish patties. Vacuum seal two to a pack and stack them in the freezer for later. When you want to eat some, just open them up and crisp them up in a little olive oil and throw on some bread and dig in. It's a little more work than I like to mess with when it comes to fish but it was very good.

I've done the commons that way in the past. Fillet them and then cut into chunks. Take the chunks and give them about 30 minutes in some cool smoke and the pressure cook them. They are great that way.

I fished the gasconade last weekend and with the super clear water, several times I watched the asian carp swimming up the river in groups. Just depressing to think that those nasty fish could take over such a beautiful river. I have been fishing the river (CAR) for 40 years and this just bums me out.
