Jason Essary Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 +1 with champ. Wish we could "TAG" either of the them so that we would have a little lead time. Spray paint on the hulls comes to mind. Bill Babler Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 On Table Rock it is always hard to tell where people are fishing. This adds to the problem. Some just not knowing in the first place the proper ediquite and others not knowing where you are fishing. I fish so deep most times the shoreline or boats coming between me and the bank really does not matter. I know you bank fishermen don't like it and I think we deep fishermen add to your problems. People just don't know how to get around us. One point however that is get increasing bad and it is a problem is getting cut off. When a guy pulls down the bank I'm fishing and throws down his troller 100 yrds. in front of me it is for sure a bad deal. I usually just jerk up my motor, wake him and move on. Hoping that little bit of bounce will make him think. "Did I do the right thing." I have also in the past just pulled around them and started fishing. This has gotten to be a big problem on the Rock and I think it can only get worse as we have more and more young and inexperienced boaters on the water. Be kind out there. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Ranger Z22 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Bill I agree that people just don't know or don't want to know about fishing courtesy. If they want to fish in front of you they will and cannot understand why you are mad. Since retirement, I only fish on weekends if my son or company want to fish, for me that eliminates about 50% of the cutoff pros. There are a few during the week or as the week progresses who join in the cutoff-fest. If you mention to them why are doing what they are doing well you can you imagine the answers you get. z22
Members MOhawghunter417 Posted June 4, 2013 Members Posted June 4, 2013 I say bounce a 1 oz. spoon off their hull and if that don't get their attention just do the same to them and pull 50 yds. or so in front of them and start fishing...... I know i hate it when people do that to me and i never fail to tell them about how many miles of shoreline the lake has and ask if i am fishing their water. Most of the time people won't even apologize or anything. But trolling between another boat and the bank? That is some BS.
Sore Thumbs Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I'm sure Bill sees it so often that he is num to it. He would be spending all his time and energy getting fired up at those idiots. It's not worth your time or breath. Just move on. Bill always knows another spot where those others aren't so fixated on staying. The older I get , the more I have learned not to get so fired up. I think what bothers me the most is those guys that know what they are doing and don't give a rip.

Mostly I feel they are not being rude and just don't know better. Lot easier on my Blood Prussure to just go to the next location. Had some clients with me the other day and had someone cut me off. I just started up and went South. My client said, "Bill, that is why I'm here with you. I don't think I could have done that without saying something to that jerk." He caught a 4 pounder on the next spot and we laughed till tears hit our eyes. The jerk had put us on a Big-in. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
