Been taking the boat out quite a bit here lately. I put in to Lake Girardeau about 10 today and headed to my honey hole. Everytime the clouds broke and gave me some sun, the bite was on.

2 nice redear and 15 big ole male bluegills today. Memorial day we pulled 30 out between the 2 of us. Sunday before I boated 18 of the pigs.

Boat is finally lined out and ready to go.

Nothing beats Pilot House BBQ. I need to eat some of that tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder.

Awesome, holler at me for the fish fry!!

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

man those are huge! Would love to catch some bluegill like that.

where is this pilot house BBQ that you speak of?

The Pilot House is off Rt W north of Cape Girardeau by the Jaycee Golf Course. It is a local little bar and grill with some daily specials. Most are cooked in a little kitchen the size of my master bath. Beware, it is a Conservative hangout, an autographed pic of Rush Limbaugh graces the walls behind the bar of glued on pennies.

Bluegill fishing petered out this weekend. Went out Sat and only picked up 5. Have to wait till next full moon.

thanks for the info on the bbq place. I will certainly hit it up next time I am that way. Looks like I might have to try my luck on lake G as well.
