Bill Babler Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 Bill, Days like you describe must make you feel wonderful. Very happy clients, including a kid! Well worth the boat scrub out, right? Absolutely. What a special day. I have had more than one recently. The couple of days with my Son, and then again right back at it today with some wonderful folks from the Bayou State. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
tapout Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Well I had this long post fully of comedy and emotion planned. But it's time to make the donuts. I took my wife and two of my kids, 10 and 7, and caught 40 plus bass. No Whites; despite being within sight of point 5 all day where Babler ripped em for two hours (*odd). Great day. 12 keepers, mostly K's 16 and 17 inch. I didn't fish much; but I re-tied two dozen times and lost two dozen jig heads and went through three packs of yamamoto grubs and my thumbs are sore. It was awesome. However; to do it day after day after day, you guides earn your money. *(It's not actually odd, I'm being sarcastic on my own inability to find them a half mile away.) I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar
Bill Babler Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 White Bass are always a challenge. They are here there and everywhere and again they are no where. Beck fished the cove past Point 5 to Kimberling and did not see a white. Pete Wenners fished Sportsman which is within sight of 5 and did not see them. I was totally surrounded in the cove just before pt. 5 in a 50yd. circle. Beck fished it this morning and they did not come up. He did catch lots and lots of Jaws, and K's and a few single Whites, but no schools. He said the boys were slamming them at Point 2 and at the Branson Belle this morning. You just never know. Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Jason Essary Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Im begining to hate trying to predict that freakin school. I think its one huge school that runs from 5 to the dam. Somewhere they will come up. Last week was on and around Sportmans two mornings and never found them.... Bill Babler Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 Ya J. your right, it is just impossible. Like I told my guide clients, it was nothing I did or any knowledge on my part. The roulette wheel just spun up in my favor. Not grippin though. Hoping it does it again this morning from Kimberling City to Baxter. Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
