laker67 Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Anything that takes you off the water for a month is not good. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Terrierman Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Surgery might suck but not having it when you need it sucks even worse. Good luck, heal well and heal fast. Do the rehab with a vengeance, you'll never be sorry.
hoglaw Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Amen to that. I was on crutches for two months last summer as a result of a June surgery. I rehabbed hard, but still not hard enough. The atrophy is incredible after only a week. Rehab should be a full time job for you, and do whatever they'll let you do now to preserve some strength. Losing a summer sucks, but if you hit it hard you'll be good to go when you get your release.
Members Adam B Posted June 6, 2013 Members Posted June 6, 2013 Hand surgery? What kind? A singe shot cobray .410 pistol took off a good piece of my left hand and I had to have a couple surgeries. I still have all my fingers but no feeling in my pinky and parts close to it. Plus its hard as a rock now. It is kinda cool to have a gunshot wound though haha. Get better!
Members soxpac Posted June 12, 2013 Author Members Posted June 12, 2013 This round was carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve surgery. Stems back to a nasty accident when I worked for the railroad. Had a setback today as my stitches popped open but all is well.
