Guest Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Happy 1st Birthday, Clayton! I'm so blessed to have this little man. Looking forward to Cake and ice cream and all those toys! Maybe next year we can start fishing.
BilletHead Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Good looking child you have there. Enjoy every minute with him. They grow up faster than you think. BilletHead JR. is 32 now and it seems like not too long ago we got him fishing and hunting, BilletHead "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" BilletHead " One thing in life is for sure. If you are careful you can straddle the barbed wire fence but make one mistake and you will be hurting" BilletHead P.S. "May your fences be short or hope you have long legs" BilletHead

I know how you feel, my daughter is 3 1/2, I feel the same way...we've got to just suck it up and enjoy and don't end up like "the cats and the cradle and the silver spoon" "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
gotmuddy Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 my son is 17 months old, and it seems every day there is something new. I couldnt imagine being away from my son for a full day. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Guest Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Being in the middle 30's age group, having a child was a bigtime change of pace. I kinda asked myself what took me so long. The cool thing is that most of my old friends are just now becoming first time parents in their 30's. Fatherhood is sorta like being a war veteran. You can't explain it to somebody that's never done it. You've got to experience it first hand to empathize with them. I'm starting to get a better understanding of my parents and what drove them to certain decisions. And now it's my birthday!!
Nighthawk Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 wait till you guys become grandparents! if you think being a parent is neat. my son is teaching both his boys to fish and I'm a part of it, thank God.

I try to explain how much I love my son to people and the best I can come up with is "You dont truly know love until you have a child" the way my sons face lights up when he hears the atv fire up is the best thing ever. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
