Well after living here for 11 years I finally broke down and bought the permit for my kayak. $20 wasted. not one fish. Day before went to Springfield lake, caught 5 in a couple of hours. Cost me nothing. Doubt I'll ever renew the fellows permit.

Haven't bought mine yet. Kinda bummed that you need one for each craft. I have a kayak and a canoe and I'd love to only buy one permit and swap between them depending on what I want to paddle.

I've never had the best luck at Fellows, but the lake itself is pretty and usually fairly quiet. More so than Springfield. That's probably the main draw for me.

Still.....might get a muskie one of these days. Keep tryin...........................

I fish it a couple of days early in the year trying for a big Musky. Doesn't really seem worth it for 3 or 4 days but I pay it anyway.

went again today. total waste of time. I am considering buying a fishfinder for the Yak. Might help ?????

Save your money. Go other places - C.U. keeps it from being good for fishing in my opinion. The fish might poop in their drinking water.

There are days where I can pull out a few 2-3lbs within an hour and then there are days where I cant even get a nibble. I dont fish Fellows alot but early morning or late evening are usually the most productive for me.
