Wayne SW/MO Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Very nice. I like seeing snakes alive and well. Common. Another common name for this species is "salt-and-pepper snake." I always knew them as salt and pepper kings when I was young. Some names are confusing though. I grew up calling water snakes water moccasins and cottonmouths just that. At one time , in my early teens, we lived next to a chicken farm. There was a welcomed black snake, Pilot I believe white belly, that was all of 6'. It's job was to eat mice and the occasional unwanted egg. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Blazerman Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Very cool pics. Apparently you have a great knack for spotting wildlife. Thanks for sharing.
Greasy B Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I want your backyard. E Green's eyes are what you and I both need. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
