Terrierman Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 It's great to see how someone appreciates these wonderful Ozarks and the lives that make it breathe.
E Green Posted July 10, 2013 Author Posted July 10, 2013 there is a Cottonmouth in the first two pictures but it is hard to see. You can make out the body of the snake in the center of the picture lying against the roots along the bank. That was scary. I was walking upstream on 10 Mile Creek and I never even saw it until it rubbed against my leg as it passed me by. I completely froze and stood there staring at it for about a minute (felt like an hour..haha) before I built up the nerve to move on. Of course I had to come back with my camera to try and get a shot...haha at that time, all you could see of the snake was what I got in the picture and that was good enough...haha The rest of these are from 10 Mile Creek and another short hike at mingo the other day.....
LarrySTL Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Your pictures are wonderful and your ability to spot things in the outdoors, like the owl in the tree, amazes me !! http://intervenehere.com
