Guest Brian B. Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 (Miss-spelled he__... Oh well..) Newbie- moving to Farmington from Waterloo Illinois. Looking for local fishing info- I am an avid Black bass fisherman (all three species)... Formerly a Baldwin Lake Junkie- Baldwin rivalled all waters within 250 miles before the plant killed. Most all the fish the last two or three years. I know Pyramid SP down around Willisville Illinois intimately. I may have chatted it up with some of you guys here- but on Southern Illinois Outdoors- may run into Chill here I'm hoping.. So- anyway- I talk fishing- way,... Way too much- I will have questions.. Thanks
mic Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Welcome to the east side... land of socialist left and hard right zelouts, but we send our leaders to prison at least.
Guest Brian B. Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 You mean congrats- I'm moving back to the United States.. To Farmington... To h-ll with Illinois.. (I am a hard right zealout.. Don't get me going on Darth Obama)
Jerry Rapp Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 welcome to the area. You can search around and find info on Big River, Black River, St. Francois, Castor, etc. on OA. You are about an hour plus from Clearwater and Wappapello. Little lakes are around. Bismarck, Council Bluffs, Crane, Perryville, Taum Sauk are less than an hour away. They can all offer good fishing sometimes. And your Pyramid Lakes are just 1.5 hour away. Lots of guys around here go over there just to catch a bunch of fish.
Guest Brian B. Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Pyramid has monsters lurking there too.. I don't know where I will fish first once I'm back in the Republic. I fish rafts now- sold my Jon boat to free up some money for the move. I have two Intex inflatables that have quite surprised me. If I get my better raft patched in time I want to fish the Black River below Clearwater- I read that it is quite good- but who knows. I used to live in Lincoln County and fished Cuiver River- it was trash water- Big Creek between St.Charles Co and Lincoln Co had a few smallies but they were small- and the chiggers were brutal- I can't wait to fish some good smallie water. I am quite familiar with Mineral Fork all around 47 Potosi way but the meth head element seems to be invreasing more and more every time I'm down that way. Fished the Fourche before it becomes the Mineral Fork and had a methy land owner come out armed as if he owned the river. So- thanks for the welcome- we'll see what's somewhat close first I'm sure.. That will get me started.

mic Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 (I am a hard right zealout.. Don't get me going on Darth Obama) I used to be a Republican until I was informed that I wasn't "right" enough. Now I'm just a lost soul
Guest Brian B. Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I am a Conservative- the RHINO's have hi-jacked the GOP just as the extreme left has hi-jacked the Democrat party.. I am fine with most folks that are not leeches- nor vote for leech Pimp politicians.
Guest Brian B. Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 If you had lived in Illinois you. Would understand the underlying RAGE... If you are an Illinois resident and you are not pissed- you are a zombie- or just not paying attention.
