I'm beginning to appreciate winter fishing on the Rock.

It's way mo' better then for sure, but I've even had a couple rude encounters in February... at night.

All it takes is for some fool to sqwawk to the Morning News about the jack salmon.

I can't dance like I used to.

Ha! Sort of actually, they sure sucked the life right out of my fishin' with their spotlights and their motor-dyin', rock-bangin', prop-grindin', 'whar-dem-walleye-at' hollerin'... :have-a-nice-day:

I can't dance like I used to.

the ones i hate are the ones in the big barges that keep running by within casting distance, and their wake comes over into the boat. maybe one day the water patrol will be around to see them.

I run into a lot of nice people while fishing, and once in awhile some alcohol-fueled knuckleheads. A couple of times I've had words with some of those, and I hate that - it ruins a fishing trip for me. I'm glad it happens to me very seldom, not even once every couple of years.

I could legally, but I'm not going to pack heat at the lake. I'm determined to never be the guy who brought the gun to a shooting - there are other ways to handle things and sometimes that means just plain backing down. Stupidity always catches up with stupid people in the long run, and anyone I'd feel like pointing a gun at has an attitude that's going to hurt them without any help from me. Just sayin'.

Well then you are the type that shouldn't "pack heat" then - if you think you should brandish a gun to deal with heated words. Good.

I carry most of the time and just let stuff slide. Aggressive and dumb- butt drunks may think I'm a coward but it's because I really don't think they are worth shooting. I tell them to get lost and if they don't it's a different story. Someone actually violently assaulting me or my family or someone else in my presence - totally different subject.

Maybe you need to get a good (reputable) self defense class in your future.
