Need Advice - Handmade Spinner Bait Not True

I tried out my new handmade spinner bait, but it was useless because it would only ride on its side. I tripled checked and the wires were straight and in-line. Only thing I can think of is the spinner was to small for the body. Any thoughts?

It is the spinner bait with the soft body in grey:

Try bending the wire upwards in front of the head about 30°, if that doesn't do it go to a smaller body or a heavier head.
