gitnby Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I decided that fishing over the long 4th of July weekend would be a waste of time with all of the boats out, so I never even took the cover off the old Stratos. My Son and his girlfriend wanted to fish, so I bought them a few boxes of crawlers, gave them a few poles and told them to fish off of our dock. I figured they would catch a few bluegill, and then get frustrated with the little bait-stealers. This is what happened while I was napping: They ended up catching over 30 fish, including 5 keeper bass (2 K's, 2 smallies and a mean-mouth) Later that night, they caught 2 cats, both over 6 lbs.
abkeenan Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Nice. There have been times I have gone out in the boat only to come back in and learn that I caught less than my uncle who just stayed at the dock and cast around it. That KY in the 2nd pick is either eating extremely good or hasn't spawned yet??? Nice report. Bet those cats put up a good fight for them.
Champ188 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Goes to show you that docks are always a good option come hot weather on the Rock.
