How did you end up doing? My son and I put in about 5 (after 3 years of drooling over a Native Ultimate, I bought it) and fished until about 10 from the cemetery almost to the boathouse. I think we ended up catching 6 between us with the largest 16-17 inches. Small green pumpkin worms and red eye shad worked the best. No pictures since I was afraid to take the camera or my phone out of the dry sack since it so wet yesterday evening. Beautiful evening, dead calm, families of ducks, 3 deer and 2 beaver, I may have spent as much time loving life as fishing.

One word of caution; That boat ramp at 65 is really slick--you could get better traction on ice and it is NOT possible to stand on it. Trust me, we both fell and the mosquitos were stacked thick.

Guess that’s two words of caution.

I am on the lake every fri, sat and sun. I catch between 5 to 11 everytime out. I get a quick pic and let them swim away. One of my favorite times is hitting the water before sunrise. I listen to the sounds of nature around me while enjoying a cup of coffee. Sunrise on the water is amazing. Life is good on the water.

On another note, one day as I was paddling towards the lake end from 65. I had my head lamp on to look for things in my way. I was about 10 foot from the bank and turned my head towards the bank. I was startled by two green, glowing eyes, about 5 feet off the ground. It was a large deer standing near the bank LOL. kinda took me by surprise. On thing that will get your heart thumping for sure???? be floating along in the dark and have one of them dang beavers splash right next to you. I'm talking about splashing you with water close. Little bugger must of cam up for air next to me. :bouaaaaah:
