DEEP is the word. The fish are certainly at Beaver Shores but if you cant get down to them you will want to look other places. Trolled the area for 6 hours today using the #6 pearl white flicker shad in 18 to 33 fow for 9 walleye, 19 crappie, 3 catfish , 2 very ambitious perch, 1 white 1 hybrid, 1 drum, 2 Kentucky's. Speed was 1.8 mph.

Lots of short fish have moved in the area, on the keeper side 9 crappie and 2 catfish the smaller fish came out 18 to 25fow and the legal fish were in the deeper water. Thermocline was holding right at 35fow.

17.5 TO 17.75 it was getting frustrating throwing them back but at the same time come next spring I know where I will be throwing them. Lots of catfish in the area perfect 2 to 4 pound size cats couldn't ask for better. Just the depth is going to be hard for most people the downriggers are my saving grace.
