Bird Watcher Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 So, JoeD's Yeti post about Yetis and 4 blade razors started me thinking. So here it goes: What does it take to achieve OA "elite" status? Yeti Cooler? Phoenix Bass Boat? Megabass Jerkbaits? Steez Reels? Wenonah Canoe? Falcon Cara Rods? 22' Lund Pro V? 12" HDS Touch front and back? Humminbird 360? Twin Power Poles? How about the Fly Fisherman? Simms Waders/jackets/bibs? Sage ONE series? Waterworks Reels? Rio Skagit Line? NRS Clearwater Drift boat? How about your boat hauler? Ford Platinum? How about Sunglasses? Costa 580G? What does the OA faithful say?

BilletHead Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Only got one in each column. I fall in the opposite of elite. Maybe in the red neck category. BilletHead who does what pleases him (Mrs. BilletHead) I mean ! "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" BilletHead " One thing in life is for sure. If you are careful you can straddle the barbed wire fence but make one mistake and you will be hurting" BilletHead P.S. "May your fences be short or hope you have long legs" BilletHead

WettinLine Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I think you forgot commercializing your ride with product stickers! I know understand why the south lost the war, they are too busy valuing status and clever catch lines.

WettinLine Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I'm using the elite stuff, based on price! Its Egyptian horse hair braided around rare sheep intestine.
Riverwhy Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I admit to an addiction on the $200 Shimano reels and the Megabass jerk baits. I'm too poor for a nice bass boat but I applaud those fishermen that have worked hard to deserve those nice rigs.

BilletHead Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 No did not change the password. hahahha I have noting to hide from the Mrs. I am as you probably know a very lucky guy to have her. Besides I would not want to train another. I'm too old for that. This is a good topic and again open a can of worms. Who of all of us has bought something that is overpriced, frugal to others? Guilty by me and I would say everyone else on here. He who has not been guilty here cast the first stone. Know I know why I like you Chris. Oh by the way we sometimes shop at the salvation army, goodwill and garage sales. Thereby helping someone else and us. Maybe that is why we indulge once and a while? Do your adult beverages consist of Milwaukie's best or Heineken ?
