Members cReekFishin Posted August 30, 2013 Members Posted August 30, 2013 Just got to thinking about this the other day. Every bass fisherman has a go-to bait that they feel confident that no matter the circumstances, they can always catch a few fish on. Now, I know over time, many become condident with multiple lures. But which was your first? Mine was a simple Texas rigged worm...
dennis boatman Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 3 1/2" silver and black Rapala, floating... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
moguy1973 Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Weightless Texas rigged senko although its slowly becoming a wacky rigged senko. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Mitch f Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Black and Gold floating rapala..my dad's favorite (Muddy cow pond special) "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Wayne SW/MO Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Red headed Baby Lucky 13 was the first. I only had ponds and streams to fish in then. Later when I got older it was the Creme purple firetail. They're still effective today. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
cnr Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Hmmm...First one was probably a spinnerbait when I was young. Cast and crank, easy and effective for a little kid.
Old plug Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 The truth is there is no such lure. A plastic worm it is almost limitless in the ways you can use it. And so is a jig.
