Doctor has cleared me to fish this weekend for the first time in over 6 weeks. Despite the tourist invasion, I hope to fish early for three days.

Any real time bass or walleye information appreciated. (Thanks QB for your real time reports)

Thermocline depth, trigger speeds, current ambush trends?

Am I looking at spoons jigged on breaks or topwaters early followed by dragged worms.

Are they suspended and i need to troll cranks?

BTW, thanks.

Good news rps, I sense a lunker in the Force with your name on it.

Sorry I have no info, better try it all in the name of science. merc1999? sez there's enough shad busting going on in the day to attract the crawdads to the carnage at night. I think there's a clue therein.

I can't dance like I used to.

Congratulations on your recovery. We aren't heading back to the lake until Wednesday but my buddy has been staying at our cabin and reports good results early throwing a fluke on main lake points and dragging a jig in 18 to 25 ft. He even had some luck on a white spinnerbait.

Best of luck to you.

remember quillback whacked them the other day on a secondary point that the breeze had been blowing on. plus, he had some fog that day. so, lower light levels. the last evening i was out was monday and we did not see any evidence of a thermocline on the electronics. just about all of the better bass came 10 to 20ft. if fishing during the day, you might put the bottom limit at around 25ft. unless targeting kentuckies. if chasing walleye, there are some river channel breaks above the eagle rock bridge that might work. i know in the past, we caught quite a few up that way on spoons, but have not been out to do any daytime fishing. the boat traffic will just wear you out anymore. this weekend should be a bit of the end to all the summer traffic.

Ive got nothing of value other than i fished from 5:15 to 6:00 in the evening deep back in a cove (12ftow near shell knob). Got a decent bass on the first cast with a fb jig and twin trailer and then couldnt hook up again. The important part was that there were literally 10's of balls of shad up this cove. They were everywhere. Thats all i know.

Thank you for sharing what you know. Collectively, the information gives me several starting points.
