Mitch f Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Sitting here in the Missouri Baptist emergency room with my 88 year old mother at 5:30 am. She's going to be ok, but when you're 88, even the smaller things can turn bad quickly. Gives me a little time to reflect on things including this forum, which occupies a small portion of my life. What a great resource this is for sharing information, stories, and sometimes random thoughts. Thanks Phil for creating and most of all maintaining this great resource. This has obviously grown big ( maybe bigger than you imagined) and I'm sure, because of the dynamics of technology, you've had to adapt and make some tough decisions. I appreciate the complexity of what it takes to be the moderator of such a forum, and I know you pretty much use a hands off approach, which I like. Flysmallie Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I agree with Mitch. I have made some great friends because of OA and pissed off a few others. It is a great thing that has helped numerous people. Thanks Phil, you have done a great job. Hope your mother is doing well Mitch.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted September 11, 2013 Root Admin Posted September 11, 2013 Thanks Mitch... life is so short and precious. Take every opportunity to love and encourage the people in your life! I will lift up you and your mom in prayer this morning. The forum is a huge blessing for me. It's a community in itself and like Ronnie said, lots of relationships have been made through it. And relationships are important in life. Thanks.
