If I were to guess, anything above the 12 bridge. I think it takes light penetration and clear water to allow algae to bloom.

Doesn't take much light they shut down those OK mud holes all the time for algae blooms...

The river is turning over.

I went out last weekend and had 4 keepers and about 10 fish total. Its pretty tough out there! I know the backs of the creeks are not on fire yet but thats where I have been running. Throwing a spook and when I slow down I work a tube on wind blown points. i have been fishing from Rocky Branch to Dam area.

Getting any smallies on the tube?

Yes I have. I've been catching them in some places where you wouldn't think a smallie would be. Been catching some KY's on that tube also.

Cool, I've been meaning to get out and throw one around.

I fished a club tourney out of hwy 12 bridge today. About like I've heard, pretty good top water bite during first light but it got tough once the sun came up. Biggest bags and most action came from the boats fishing around Rocky Branch to the dam. Quite a few good smallies weighed.

We saw the boats assembling at 12 bridge when F&F and I drove by. The bite was definately slow today. We saw several bass boats go by us toward the dam.

I was out with Jeb in his boat yesterday, we were a couple of miles from the entrance of PC cove when the tourney boats came flying out, there were lots of them and lots of fishermen out on the lake yesterday.

We did OK on the bass fishing, 10 total between the two of us with a few 2 lb. fish. Best bite was dragging c-rigs with Trick worms or Ultravibe Speed Craws.

What depth were you throwing the c-rig? Sounds like the guys with the biggest bags were fishing DEEP. I saw lots of baitfish shallow. I expected to see a shallow bite pick up with the wind yesterday but I never found it.
