Members MikeH Posted November 26, 2014 Members Posted November 26, 2014 I'll have to get a pic of how I tie that fly now. Over the last two years it's gradually turned into a craw fly. Doesn't even resemble my swap fly anymore. -Mike
Lancer09 Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 A little bit of everything, mostly thinking of warmer weather.
Lancer09 Posted December 24, 2014 Author Posted December 24, 2014 She just needs to find her way into the front of a boat.
Lancer09 Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 I know a few streams where the trout fishes like the dark stoneflies.
fishinwrench Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 RE; the Half&Half.... Clouser totally loose their mojo for me as soon as I add a pair if feather tips to them. I assume that others have success with them but for some crazy reason I am not one of them. They sure look good to me though.
bs1827 Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I've been tying some creek crawlers as well. My favorite craw pattern I've found yet.
Jason R. Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Did you tie those and take the pictures? Those look good- look alot like a "near-nuff" crayfish. http://flyinthesouth.com/

Yeah, I tied up a handful this weekend to swap with a buddy. And yup, took the pictures myself. I'm still trying to find the best applicator for 2 part epoxy. I've tried q-tips and toothpicks, but I just cant seem to get a good even coat without blemishes. It probably doesn't help that I don't have a wheel or dryer, so I just manually spin them on the vise.
