timsfly Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Lower Roaring River just got is annual brown stocking only 500 this year, they were stocked all the way down to the lake(Curry Bridge) rainbows were also stocked 500 of them, this will be the last stocking till spring, outside of the park. All were under the legal size limit, but they will grow( all under 15") Rainbows no size limit, only applies to the brown trout. Some real nice browns come out of the lower sections of Roaring River, but you have to be stealthy as they seem to spook real easy, I caught this one not to long ago down below the park. Quillback Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Didn't know they stocked fish that far down the river. You'd think a few would get into the lake and if they could survive the summer high temps would have a chance at getting big.
laker67 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I have told this story before, Caught a nice brown at crane creek that had to come from some where. You be the judge.

chub minnow Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Caught a rainbow while crappie fishing with minnows at Shell Knob.
Lancer09 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I know people down by us catch rainbows down below the Table rock dam in the real deep water. They fish spoons on downriggers and catch a few every year.
