straw hat Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Yea, I have had people do that little trick with the hitch too. Now when I hook up the boat to the trailer I put a padluck on it so it can't be flipped up.

kwall Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Yep, I put a lock on mine , to keep my trailer from getting stolen , never thought about anyone flipping a latch -- must be kids messing around I was able to put in at RB , the wife beat me as usual she caught 15 or so LMBs with 2 of them over 15" , numorus blue gills and a nice 15" walleye , I caught 5 fish with one being a 14" LMB and one 17" eye which I released doing the ol' flip him in the boat method which allowed him to fall back in the lake after hitting the side of the boat , lol -- the wife still said it didn't count --- nice fall day to be out
Bassmaster21 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 So which ramps on the lake don't have a sawhorse up and are still "operational". I know you can go around but I was curious which ones you the public could still use
Members Lead Head Posted October 14, 2013 Members Posted October 14, 2013 The ramps that are "open" with no sawhorse barrier in the immediate north end of Stockton would be Hartley (Old State Park), State Park, Orleans Trail by the Marina, and the two subdivision ramps on the west side of the lake just north and south of the MO 215 Bridge (Mile Long Bridge), and a small subdivision ramp at Sac River Estates. I know there are several more ramps with no barriers up in the creeks and rivers but I have not gone to check them myself. I can think of seven other ramps that should be open but I don't want to list them without going to check them first. Hope this helps, you should have no problems finding a place to launch close to where you want to fish. According to Corp Rangers all of the subdivision ramps are open to the public even though some of the subdivisions try to make it look like they are only for subdivision use.
