Members bigron Posted October 11, 2013 Members Posted October 11, 2013 Whats a good line to use ? Ive always used Maxima back when I used to trout fish a lot and im getting back into it now that I live at holiday Island. I have looked at different Walmart stores and Bass Pro at the landing and nothing ,Is Maxima out of business or is it just hard to keep in stock . .
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I like P-LIne Original. It's thin and tough. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
johndarin Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Maxima is still around. We carry it here at Lilleys'. A few of our guides use it. Darin Schildknecht Pro Staff - Lilleys' Landing Resort & Marina Lake Taneycomo, Branson, Missouri
ollie Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 P-line CX premium is all I use. Beware with a question like that on here! I'm pretty sure you will get a lot of different replies on this one. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
10pointer Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Maxima for me. Love it in 1,2,3 and 4lb ultragreen. Its been around forever. Lkke they said you will get many answers. P-line is great stuff also cant go wrong
Leonard Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Im still a Maxima fan... 15 years and still wont change lines! I have found it all over.... For the most part, I ask Phil to get it for me.. But I have found it at Bass Pro in Springfield, Cabelas (in store or online), Feather Craft, The Fly Shop.. Its still a very popular line... BTW.. I think the small wal-mart just off 76 still carries it.. I think I saw it in there about a year ago.. http://www.taneycomonights.com
Travis Swift Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I love love love the SOS Trout line. It's very tough stuff. I always use the 2lb tst
Gatorjet Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Have used Maxima Ultragreen for years. Tried most of the newer hi-tech brands, and always return to Maxima. Real men go propless!
