Feathers and Fins Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 SC is beatable you have to take their run out of it, if that can be done I see a Win. Florida can beat you so many ways offense and defense that is the true powerhouse to worry about. Ole Miss is a possible win, Kentucky should be a win, Tenn better be a win. The Johnny Football show? Well pray he is injured or its a loss. ATM with him is insane I give that kid credit he really makes the game fun and his team is having fun that is a dangerous combination. Mizz can have a 9-3 season easy maybe even 10-2 But must beat Florida or ATM for the 10-2. If they beat FL then they should be # 4 or 5. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
ozark trout fisher Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 When we play Carolina I'd run straight at Clowney and take away his strength as a pass rusher. That's what teams used to do to Derrick Thomas. Has anyone actually confirmed the existence of Clowney this season? Not too worried about him. Though watch him break back out again against Mizzou just to spite me. A&M will be interesting if Franklin is in there. That guy is the best college QB since Tebow and I'd argue he's better. But their defense has been non-existent, to put it kindly. How many times can they rely on their all-world QB to save them down by a TD with 2 minutes left?
KCRIVERRAT Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Not thinking about A&M... yet. Tebow had a heck of a team around him to help him at the time. I agree Franklin's a better QB but the fact is he can't stay healthy. His habit of standing like a statue before he throws the ball will get him killed in the NFL. Chase had more smarts and savvy than JF will ever have. I know Chase had Maclin, but look at all the weapons at RB and WR we have now. I will say... Chase had a much better O-line in front of him. stlfisher Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 What would the over on the A@M game be? 90? That game might be an epic shoot out. It just goes to show you how much a college Quarterback can dominate a game or season. I always wonder why defenses are so far behind the offense.
Feathers and Fins Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Tebow really wasn't a great QB hate to bust people bubbles but the guy wasn't that good. Had a great cast of characters and a great management staff but I would never even think of putting him in the top 20 of College QB's. Franklins health is an issue and yes his standing there is a telegraph, Defensemen with high skills will make a habit of picking him off and the rushers will teach his butt what Astroturf is. Chase = smart but so is Johnny and what is scary is Johnny is showing his patience in the pocket and smarts this year. Last year he played by balls and instinct which a good QB has to have, during summer he went to camp and got the fundamentals down and his QB coach now is teaching him patients, he will only get better. But I reserve judgment on him until he can also manage the game. Best QB to come out in a long time to be an all around game manager that means ( Making plays but not forcing them. Pure smarts and calm under pressure and a game winner ) AJ McCarron and seeing it from Marcus Mariota. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 F & F I have too pretty much agree with all that. Tebow had a great defense and O line, always an asset for QB that can run. Hie team mates made him look better than he was. Franklin=fragile Chase=needed 4" in height to be great. McCarron= Katherine Webb, I mean great all around QB. I agree, one of the best, but if you spread your teams numbers around you don't get that many awards. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
ozark trout fisher Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 Tebow was a terrible NFL QB, but that shouldn't negate the fact that he was one of the greatest college QBs of all time.......the skill set for being great in college and the NFL is often very different. College is a lot more conducive to good runners that struggle with accuracy. Obviously Tebow fit that bill.
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I just think Tebow complemented FL, but didn't carry it like a great QB would. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
