Duck Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 First cast out of Sweetwater at 6:50 am. and fished down to the White, total of 27 blacks ,K's and LM. 7 nice ones over 16 inches and chunky. 13 on WE spinnerbait (mouse), 7 on silver spoons, 7 drop shot with PBJ finesse worm. Water temp 71-73. Off at 12. Great day with cloud cover and light wind. Could not get bit on wart. Good fishin, Duck.
fishingaddiction Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Nice report Duck. Very good numbers and size. Sounds like the Kings is hot. You've certainly got them figured out. With all the clouds and wind you'd think the crank would get them, but the blade is a fun also. Glad you had a great day. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
Champ188 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Blade is no fun. Never. Ever. Suggest that everyone properly dispose of them immediately. PM me for further instructions and the mailing address of the regional collection site.
Members Bobby P. Posted October 15, 2013 Members Posted October 15, 2013 Which style of WE spinner bait works best? i know mouse color but what style and blades? Thanks for all the help. I am coming down Wednesday and i will be fishing out of Beardsley, where my boat is on the dock, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I have an older Nitro, white red stripe. There will be 3 of us in the boat. My fishing buddy and my 14 year old son. Stop by and say hi. Plan to fish from Clevenger to the Indians. I only get down about 10 days a year and I love to sit here in the office and read the reports. Dad lives in Twin Island at point 2. I have my spoons, drop shots, wiggle warts, jig/pig, fluke jr's, red eye shad, shakey heads and tubes all ready to go. I hope we get some topwater action.
Duck Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 Bobby, I really like the War Eagle screaming eagle with the compact frame, its smaller than the regular one but still one half ounce, one gold willow and one silver willow blade. Good Luck, Duck.
Hojo Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Is the ramp there at the mouth of sweetwater open?
Duck Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 If you want to call it a ramp it is open. Be real careful because it is in bad shape. Duck
