ozark trout fisher Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Planning to be at the game tomorrow. It's Maty Mauk time. We all know that Gators can't handle the cold and this is the biggest game since........ last week. Probably the biggest home game since Georgia last year. I don't love the early kickoff but we'll make do. MIZ!
Quillback Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I'll be fishing, but the DVR will be recording in my absence.
Feathers and Fins Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Fishing as well. Rumor is walleye are biting good on Beaver and I got stripers to locate. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Much will be learned says Confucius and me. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
moguy1973 Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Maty Mauk's first play looked good! *edit* And so was the 2nd! -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
stlfisher Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Absolute domination by MU. Only negative was kicking 5 field goals, but bagget could use the practice! Sam is incredible! Super excited about this team with a 2 game lead in the east.
ozark trout fisher Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 I don't know what to say. Our best player goes down and (with some tense moments) we go on crushing SEC powerhouses just like before. It is time, gentlemen, to realize that we are very much in the hunt for the national championship. Have we honestly seen anything separating us from say, Alabama, this season? UGA and South Carolina both went down in upsets. Missouri has far from clinched the east with 5 SEC games to go, but a win next week against South Carolina would come fairly close.
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 UGA and South Carolina both went down in upsets. There's no guarantee that the pollsters will agree with that. Their losses didn't do Mizzou any good and actually will hurt them in the polls. They are in good shape to play in the championship. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
ozark trout fisher Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 I don't know how much the polls mean right now. If we win out and take the SEC title, it's almost impossible to envision not playing for it all. And our win, plus the losses for our top competitors helps that out immensely, as it gives us the two game lead, with the tiebreaker over UGA and Florida. It does devalue our Georgia win somewhat, but we'll have chances against A&M (for sure) and (perhaps) Alabama in Atlanta to prove our worth. And even if we are, say, #5 in tomorrow's poll, it won't matter much if we can't hold onto our own division. That just has to be the goal and let the polls/BCS standings work themselves out. Plus, there is the "eye test" which does matter for the polls in college football. Even if UF and UGA are not world beaters, beating two iconic programs by 15+ points just looks great.
Feathers and Fins Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 OTF, The National Championship unless Bama looses 2 and the Ducks loose 2 will be between them. It wont matter who is second or anything else, Hate to say it but this has been brewing for a long time and unless someone goes undefeated there just is no way it will not happen. Last year of the BCS before playoffs I just don't see anyway this game wont happen barring bama or the ducks completely imploding or someone going undefeated to force one of them out of it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
