Members Smallmouth Addict Posted November 4, 2013 Members Posted November 4, 2013 Looking to come down from KC on Friday and float all day Saturday. Big Elk Canoe said water perfect and no dragging. I know his 8 mile trip is down to Mount Shira. Considering that float at the moment. Any other suggestions? Thought about a short trip Sunday on Big Sugar. Thanks!
Guest Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 either way, its going to be good fishing, as long as we don't get too much rain
Greasy B Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Looks like the rain is giving the river a nice bump. Some SWM rivers got more than a bump though, be careful. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. Guest Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Looks like the rain is giving the river a nice bump. Some SWM rivers got more than a bump though, be careful. Im looking at that right now. The elk is rising but at a nice angle, its not shooting straight up. That gauge has a 24-48hr delay from the actual rainfall, so its misleading sometimes. The water can be swifter than it appears online.
Guest Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Ollie, have you seen the river lately, to know if its good to float? I might be up there on sunday. thanks
ollie Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Sorry, just now saw your post. I haven't see the river in a few weeks now so I would be no help on this one. Guest Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 River was perfect, good flow, no other boats, fall color and family time.

Guest Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 finesse worms, finesse jigs, drop shots, ned rigs thats how we caught them Today should be a 10, with the clouds and weather moving in
Guest Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 suspending jerkbiats will work in certain scenarios, like open water. I forgot the megabass jerkbaits, shouldve used them around deep pools.
