ollie Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Well, well, well. It's that time of the year again. This will be our 7th year in a row to hold this illustrious tournament on Capps. Total bragging rights on the line here for the year! Last year Buzz and I tied with only one fish each. Who this year will come out and top that? Sunday Dec. 1st will be the date. We always hold it the Sunday after Thanksgiving and this year it falls on the 1st. We start at 9:00 and fish until noon or one depending on how many people show up. Would like to do food, but haven't really had the interest in doing it. Look for the fishing to be tough unless they do another stocking before then. We will met at the upper parking lot by the mill, but not inside the mill unless you want to pay for the parking then by all means go ahead. Most know what I drive, but in case you don't I drive and old s/10 with a white door and Buzz drives a tan Ford with custom plates. Looking forward to those showing up this year! Buzz Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 7th year??? It doesn't seem like it. I'll be there as usual. Looking forward to it. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Members BassHunter132 Posted November 8, 2013 Members Posted November 8, 2013 Sounds like fun. What are the rules and entry?
ollie Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 Rules? Ask Buzz, he always changes them to suit himself! lol "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Buzz Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 No rules and no entry. Anything goes. It's the wild, wild west out there. Just kidding, but you do have to keep an eye on Ollie. I think he might keep a couple kicker fish penned up just to guarantee his win each year. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Members BassHunter132 Posted November 8, 2013 Members Posted November 8, 2013 Sounds good to me count me in. Let me know if I can help with anything.
Members Craig C Posted November 9, 2013 Members Posted November 9, 2013 Sounds like a hoot. I am there doing something just about every Sunday anyways. Will look ya up. I drive a white silverado "chootem" sign in the back window
Buzz Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I'm glad you guys are going to try to make it. Looking forward to meeting both of you. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 Them stupid kicker fish must have died on me in the past, because they didn't help a couple of years ago! Come on down guys and met up with us. Good times for sure.
