Members BassHunter132 Posted December 2, 2013 Members Posted December 2, 2013 Good to meet you guys too. The fishing turned off about an hour after you left Buzz I think that was there feeding time like you had mentioned.
Big Brown Trout Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 sorry I didn't make it. for some reason I thought it was next weekend Hope you guys did well, I got 2 Big browns to chase my zonker Friday. Unfortunately I got a bad case of buck fever and flung my last zonker into a sycamore. Naturally I stood out in the creek on a tree root ( no waders!) and tried desperately to free it. Needless to say I went home empty handed. I plan to haunt this place the next few months on a regular basis though. hope to see you out there. (incase you see me I wear a brown flannel jacket and have a green fly rod) Let the summer of Carp, begin.
Members wayne b Posted December 2, 2013 Members Posted December 2, 2013 I was by the mill at the conservation parking area. I would have stopped and fished the second access but my wife's grandpa dose not get around to well anymore so I try to keep him out of the brush as much as possible the walk to the first access is about all he can stand and even then the hill by the bridge can be tuff. I might make it next year is this a fly rod only thing cause I have a hard time putting down the spinning rod with a rooster tail at capps
ollie Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 It was a great day! Buzz just can't match me! hahahaha Great day to be fishing. Weather was perfect IMO with overcast skies and good temps. I was surprised to find that hole that held so many early on. I did think we were going to catch some at the dam, but it wasn't in the cards I guess. I'm also glad everyone caught fish! Other times we have had new people fishing the stream and not caught any, so this is a win in my book. Scott and Basshunter it was good meeting both of you. I sure thought Buzz was going to catch me in numbers at that last hole. I almost thought of breaking his rod or something like that! He was pouring it on towards the end. Buzz Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I understand Wayne. It would be way to wooly for him down where we were. Try to make it next year. Any type of fishing goes, fly nor spin. Ollie, if you had stuck around for 5 more minutes I would have caught and passed you. LOL Next year buddy!! If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Members BassHunter132 Posted December 6, 2013 Members Posted December 6, 2013 I can vouch for that one Ollie. Right after you left Buzz caught a few just down from where you left from.
ollie Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Come on Basshunter, how much did he pay you?! lol You can't trust that Buzz.
