Wayne SW/MO Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I've been waiting for this game, go Chiefs! X2 This will tell a lot about the Chiefs, and may define the season. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
ozark trout fisher Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I've been waiting too, go Broncos! Both teams should make the playoffs, but homefield and a bye is what's at stake here. Kind of foreign territory for both franchises to be in this situation at this point in the season. Even last year at this time Denver was "only" 6-3. Should make for a fantastic game. I am sure glad that Peyton Manning can go despite the injury. Even from a Chief's fan's perspective-you wouldn't get near as much credit for beating Denver if he wasn't in the lineup. Mizzou is off in football this week so this can get pretty much all of my sporting attention. 24-14 Denver, is my prediction. We are not going to run over your defense, but our D seems to be improving and I do think we can score just enough points to get by at home. Your pass defense is fantastic but there could be some openings for Knowshon Moreno in the running game- and that could get some pressure off an injured Manning if we can get something out of that. But it could easily go the other way if KC can force turnovers.
Lancer09 Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 The reason there have been openings for backs is because they have been playing to prevent the quarterbacks that they have been playing from rushing. Outside of the Philly and Buffalo games I don't believe they have allowed a 100 game. I think KC gets it 27-24. We have faced the toughest defenses of the season for our offense and we have had two weeks to prep. Now our Defense needs to play against the best offenses that they have seen. It also doesn't hurt that the Chiefs have one of the best turnover margins, and the broncos have been fumbling like it's going out of style. I think they play some SERIOUS bump and run with the corners and Peyton is going to be in for a long day if Poe can collapse the pocket and prevent him from stepping up. Andy needs to take a note out of Rex Ryan's book (I hope I never have to say that again) and tell the refs to watch some of the ridiculous, and illegal at that pick plays the receivers have been running.
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I'm not sure Denver has seen a defense like KC and if the Chiefs offense plays against the Bronchos and not themselves, I can believe in another win. Manning is, believe it or not, is aging and that can sometimes make players more tentative when coming off of an injury. We'll see if that makes him hurry when he feels Hali behind him. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
ozark trout fisher Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Manning's been bugged by this injury since Jacksonville, so it's not a huge wildcard at this point. It has as a small impact, but he's a tough player and even though he's probably in pain, his play has remained at a very high level. But to avoid having to drop back so much we are gonna have to run effectively. Luckily, KC's run defense is the closest they have to a weak point and we may just have the running back corps to exploit that. KC's got what it takes to slow Denver down. But they still probably need an off night from this offense. Indy got that and won. KC will need to force the same type of game. Even an off-night means 28-30 points usually. Alex Smith and Jamaal Charles had better come ready to play. Dexter McCluster worries me, especially in the return game.
ness Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 There's gotta be a Dwayne Bowe/Mile High joke in here somewhere, but I got nothing. John
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 There's gotta be a Dwayne Bowe/Mile High joke in here somewhere, but I got nothing. Well I was going to say something, but then thought better of it. I'm still wondering what in the world he was doing in Riverside? I suppose he could have gotten high, gotten lost, and then was speeding to get the h#*(( out of there! Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
ness Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 He was probably heading up to Red-X to get cheap liquor. Apparently they caught him before, not after. John
ollie Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Yea, Riverside isn't the best place to be at night I can attest to that! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
